Although Alfred G Pearce started life, almost 50 years ago, as a vegetable growing operation, it has now grown into a wholesaler and processor with vast experience of managing the entire supply chain to food processors, packers, manufacturers and caterers.
We currently handle in excess of 65,000 tonnes of produce annually, of which over half is either grown on our own farms or sourced under contract from our dedicated growing partners. The balance comes from selected leading growers throughout Europe – an arrangement which allows us to maintain year-round continuity of supply, as well as enabling us to offer produce for which the UK climate is simply unsuitable, such as the sweetcorn we import from Hungary.
